Description
We start the day crossing the Vasco da Gama Bridge, the longest bridge in the European Union, towards the town of Palmela. Here we will make our first stop, to visit its medieval castle and enjoy the amazing views over the Arábida Natural Park. Next we depart to downtown Setubal, a fishing town, where we’ll visit the fish market of Livramento, nominated in 2016 as one of the best markets in the world by the newspaper USA Today.
Leaving Setúbal, we enter the Arrábida Natural Park, known for its panoramic views and fabulous clear blue water beaches surrounded by lush green vegetation. Before lunch we have our first wine tasting and a visit to a tile factory, in the historical town of Azeitão.
After lunch, still in Azeitão, we visit the historical winery of José Maria da Fonseca museum house, founded in 1834, followed by a wine tasting. On the way back to Lisbon, we stop at The Sanctuary of Christ the King, whose viewpoint provides one of the best views over the city of Lisbon. Our tour ends in the city center.
