Description
We begin our tour at Baixa Pombalina, known by this name after the reconstruction by the Marquis of Pombal, after the earthquake of 1755. Passing by the Lisbon Cathedral and the viewpoint of Portas do Sol, we will stop at the famous viewpoint of Nossa Sra do Monte, where we have a new perspective of the city of the seven hills.
To whet your appetite for lunch, a short walk through the narrow streets of the Alfama neighbourhood, one of the most characteristic neighborhoods in Lisbon. Here we will taste the famous ginginha and learn a bit more about the moorish and jewish legay in the portuguese capital city.
After lunch, we’ll visit Belém, a neighborhood famous for its relation with the Portuguese Discoveries. Once there, we visit the Jerónimos Monastery and the Monument to the Discoveries. We end our tour with a wine tasting and a pastel de Belém, on the riverside, next to the Tower of Belém, symbol of the identity of the city of Lisbon throughout the world.
