Description
On this half-day tour on the western part of the Arrábida Natural Park, we’ll discover the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Cabo Espichel, walk until we reach the incredible dinosaur footprints and visit the medieval castle of Sesimbra.
We start the morning with the crossing of the 25 de Abril bridge, on the way to Cabo Espichel, where we visit the sanctuary and start our walk, along which we will discover the stone fossil deposit of Pedra da Mua, a set of several limestone slabs that host several trails of sauropod dinosaur footprints.
After a short break for coffee and recharging energies, we head to the impressive Castle of Sesimbra, the last of the portuguese castles over the sea to maintain its medieval features and to arrive, well preserved, to the present day. Its winding cliffs offer a spectacular view over the village of Sesimbra and its beach.
